Acupuncture and want to know what its all about.

I’ve had lower back problems for several years (disc/nerve problems), tried chiropractic care, physical therapy, etc. Have been wanting to try Acupuncture for some time now, and finally did yesterday. But today, I’m hurting a hundred times worse. Is this normal?
This is chronic pain, not acute. I know it takes more than one visit to help with chronic pain. I also know that with acute pain, it relieves it pretty much immediately. So my question was referring to chronic conditions, as to if it’s normal to hurt a lot more the following day, practually unable to walk. (thanks melanie)

My acupuncturist won’t do electro-shock acupuncture on me because it has to be done in a controled enviroment where the patient can be watched for 24 hours since it brings out too much emotion all at once. I need to find a cheap acupucture hospital that I can afford for a week. I need prices and phone numbers.

I have never not slept all night before and this is the second night. Only thing i did different is have acupuncture treatment for allergies.
If I am stressed out about anything it would be my health.

Let’s assume they all have a license and appropriate certfications. Certifications are good to have, but they won’t help me identify outstanding acupuncture practitioners. That’s why I’m asking for your help.

I have been making use of the low cost of procedures in a foreign country. I got botox on my forehead. I am thinking of getting acupuncture just for the “feel good” effect. My question is, will the botox on my forehead minimize the effect of the acupuncture?
